Spain & Portugal Day 1: BARCELONA - Arrival Barcelona airport, transfer to hotel. Tour briefing with our guide for the roundtrip presentation. Depending on arrival, the rest of the day is at leisure. Dinner & overnight in Barcelona. Day 2: BARCELONA - A Guided day of sightseeing to discover this ancient and wonderful city: The Sacred Family cathedral and the Park Güell are some of the famous masterpieces created by Gaudi. We cross the famous Paseo de Gracia avenue, the Place of Colon, the always crowded Ramblas and Plaza Catalunya. We finish the tour at the Montjuic Mountain with fantastic views over the city and sea. Free time in the afternoon. Flamenco show in a typical tablao with Dinner. Overnight. Day 3: VALENCIA –ALICANTE - We leave the hotel and take route to Alicante (approx. 530 km). During the journey we stop in the Mediterranean city of Valencia (where El Cid recaptured the city from the Moors) and take a guided panoramic tour across the main places of interest, the Bull ring, the Cuarte Towers (one of the ancient doors into the city), the historic centre and the modern complex of Art and Sciences. Special lunch with typical Paella. Then we continue to Alicante - the "city of lights". Dinner & overnight. Day 5: GRANADA – SEVILLE – LISBON - After breakfast, departure to Seville (approx. 260 km), where we take a guided tour of this mystical city thought the most important places as the particular Giralda Tower, the Christopher Columbus tomb, Maria Luisa Park, la Torre del Oro tower and the Jewish quarter. Then, on to Lisbon (approx. 400 km) entering by the gastronomic Alentejo region. Accommodation, dinner & overnight in Lisbon Day 6: LISBON SIGHTSEEING - Today let’s take a guided city tour that includes the visits of the most important places: The Belem Tower, St. George`s Castle, Geronimo’s monastery and its cloisters. Free time for leisure in this amazing city. Dinner & overnight. Day 7: LISBON – MERIDA - MADRID - We leave Lisbon after the breakfast and continue our trip going to Madrid (approx. 630 km). During our journey we will stop in Merida. Located in the path of the Silver Route, or Vía de la Plata, Mérida is heir to a magnificent Roman legacy. The theatre, the amphitheatre and the Temple of Diana make this city - the ancient capital of Roman Lusitania - one of the best preserved archaeological sites in Spain and a World Heritage Site. Then we continue to Madrid. Accommodation, dinner & overnight. Day 8: MADRID SIGHTSEEING - Guided tour of Madrid showing the must-see places - Plaza España, Puerta del Sol, the Cibeles Fountain, Puerta de Alcalá and the Gran Via avenue. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner & overnight. Day 9: MADRID – ZARAGOZA – BARCELONA - We return to Barcelona approx. 620 km). We stop the vibrant city of Zaragoza to see the cathedral of El Pilar, one of the most representative cathedrals in Spain. Arriving in Barcelona, check into hotel, dinner & overnight.
